Tonight's Poet Corner: Introspection

This week, I got to enjoy baseball games over drinks with good friends, fill up my latest writing journal and start a new one, began training at my newest job, started progress on selecting my school site for my student teaching, and watched an original play called The Oregon Trail. Tomorrow and Sunday, I have full shifts at the bookstore. Tomorrow should be particularly fun because it's Independent Bookstore Day. There'll be a car show downtown, and we'll have special edition books and prints for customers to peruse. It should be fun. Apart from that, have a great night and a great weekend, everyone.

Today's OneWord: Climbers

There were three mountain climbers in total: Jeff, Emily, and Sharon. And they were all more than ready. Both Sharon and Emily had scaled this mountain over a dozen times; now it was about how fast they could scale it, rather than how many times they could do it. Jeff hadn't done nearly as much climbing as the women had, but he was full of enthusiasm and zeal, and he definitely was fit enough to be up for the task. That, and he was the spokesperson for SuperGrape, the energy drink company sponsoring his ascent.
