Tonight's Poet Corner: Introspection

So! I'm in New York. Here's what I've done so far: - Eaten and drank while watching Season 11 of RuPaul's Drag Race with Jocelyn and Kit. - Gotten lunch at Miller's Alehouse with Kit. - Met some of Jocelyn's work colleagues. - Gone to a Long Island Ducks (minor league) baseball game. - Tried Jägermeister, Marmite, and different whiskeys. - Claimed a Johnny Cueto baseball card. Next on this trip, I will: - Reunite with some friends for lunch. - Watch Jocelyn play Princess Fiona in a local production of Shrek: The Musical. - Have brunch with friends. - See The Prom on Broadway. - Spend more quality time with the seester and brother-in-law. I'm loving it, folks - though I do miss the wifey! I've been calling her every evening to check in. Have a great night and a great weekend!

Tonight's Poet Corner: Sonnet Solstice #399

I'm In New York by Belinda Roddie I'm in New York, and boy, is it the tits! I love this simple fam'ly reunion. After a train ride, I was chuffed to bits to be with my awesome and goofy twin, as well as my charming brother-in-law, who showed his coins and poured me a nice glass of Port to cleanse both the mind and the maw as we watched drag queens try out magic acts and lip sync 'til their hearts gave out. I know I'm in for a treat, as I navigate baseball games, seeing friends, and Broadway shows that are as queer as can be. Not too late to have some fun with family, I say - especially in the east USA!

Tonight's Poet Corner: Greyhounds

Greyhounds by Belinda Roddie I took the train with a dog and they both did such wonders for me I felt loved and like I belonged hurtling toward no man's land with man's best friend
