Today's OneWord: Merciful

Merciful God, deliver me from this pit I have been thrown into. And by pit, I truly and literally mean an actual pit. Seriously, some dickhats decided to push me into this thing, and there's no way I can climb out without assistance. Not to mention my phone's dead, and obviously, there isn't an outlet to plug my charger in. I'm pretty sure I sprained an ankle in the fall, and at this point, I turn to you, o' great pitying Deity. Help me out, will you?

Today's OneWord: Statues

Why were the statues going white, and why was the rain cascading in sheets? I tried to find solace by the window, but the world outside had become nothing but glass. Blankets of water blurred the semblance of life that I stretched my mind to detect. Near me, my lover was asleep on the divan with wine pooling across her lap. Her curls lay in wet swaths around the warm nape of her neck. The statues would crumble in due time. The deluge was impending. We both would drown.
