Tonight's Poet Corner: Introspection

Folks, it's happening. After five years of trial and error, I am once again attempting National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo!

I have written approximately 2,700 words already, putting me at an advantage to start the month. Consequently, all Storytellers this November will be replaced with NaNoWriMo check-ins.

In the meantime, as I write my new project, don't forget about my debut novel! [Insert Self-Discovery Here] is still available on Amazon, and a dear friend of mine has been working diligently on the audiobook we plan to release. Your purchases and reviews help a great deal in getting my novel the recognition it hopefully deserves.

Meanwhile, I'm back to acting and reminiscing on my old theater days. Not only am I recording for an oh-so-secret voice project, but I'm also showing my twelfth graders my high school production of Hamlet, since they're reading (or at least supposed to be reading) the play. I would love to do more Shakespeare, and I'd especially adore playing Hamlet, especially since Maxine Peake, a brilliant British actress, put others to shame with her rendition of the character.

Such are the whims of an artist, I suppose! Always writing, always performing, always making music, and of course, always wishing they could do more of all three. I'll keep y'all posted on my progress.

Have a great night and a great weekend, everyone.
