Tonight's Poet Corner: Larry's Lunch

Larry's Lunch by Belinda Roddie Larry's lunch was a crazy bunch of grapes and grains plucked from brown plains and meadows, sucked between his teeth. The fruit so sweet, the wine complete.

Today's OneWord: Entrance

The entrance to the ballroom was arched and grandiose and very, very gold. You wore pearls at you greeted me, pearls everywhere. Your ears, your neck, your gloves, your skirt even lined with pearls. Pretty pearls. Oysters' treasures cut from their stomachs. You asked me to dance. Me, in my raggy green tailcoat, the brass buttons. I said yes. We waltzed. We tango-ed. We kissed.
