Tonight's Poet Corner: I Decided To Be Evil

I Decided To Be Evil by Belinda Roddie I decided to be evil today - drown puppies, kill kittens, and strangle bunny rabbits. But I couldn't find any, and they looked way too cute to ever hurt. So I thought about setting my high school on fire. But I really needed to graduate so I could go to college, and college is always cool. I thought about making a bottle of poison to slip into my dad's coffee in the morning. But, honestly, I love my dad way too much. I guess all I can do is be the benevolent tyrant - pretend that I'm evil, but really just surround myself with ponies and sparkles and be an all-around really nice guy.

The banks had closed. The money had stopped flowing in and out. The reserve was non-existent. Currency, by this time, was no longer relevant. It had injured the country badly. Bartering was considered an old, outdated form of payment, and as a result, companies lost money and closed down as well. Car makers stopped making cars. Computer makers stopped making computers. All people worried about now was maintaining their homes and getting food.
