Tonight's Poet Corner: Sonnet Solstice #87
Please Teach My Niece by Belinda Roddie Please teach my niece how to draw a heart, please - Valentine's Day appealed to her so much in her first grade class. I must now appease her by letting her gain the Midas touch so she can spin gold into each red wedge and curve of the great romance orb. She wants hearts on every wall, appliance, and ledge that our house has to offer. My wife taunts me about how our place is becoming a haven for crayon-stained Cupids. I know you can help my niece with her sketching. Ever since her parents suddenly died, I want her happy. Sorry if I shove for this. I want her to remember love.
