Tonight's Poet Corner: Sonnet Solstice #326

A Masterpiece by Belinda Roddie A masterpiece! I see now that you've made something far more magnificent than I ever thought possible. I hope you're paid in gold for such a pleaser to the eye. The colors are just stunning, all the oils so vivid as they hang upon the wall, and as the silhouettes wind round like coils against each other, it's as if you've called them all together with your brush alone, its hair still tinged with hues and shadows left upon the canvas. Place it by a throne, and other kings' rooms will all seem bereft of art. If only I could meet your price - I have no money, but your work is nice!

Today's OneWord: Plead

No matter how much you beg and plead, no matter how much you cry and scream, the knife will stay stuck in your head. The real world still is not a dream. Ability to speak is gone. Ability to blink is gone. Ability to shriek is gone. Ability to think is gone. You wish for one more "second chance." Just one more chance. Just one more chance.
