Tonight's Poet Corner: Dampened
Dampened by Belinda Roddie I tried to catch a shower thought and pull it from the spray, just so - but it favored the mist and fought to stay in its portfolio. The warmth had settled in its bones, and already, I had forgot what it had been about - its throne was undisturbed, the lesson taught. I left the shower thought behind, as it preferred to be alone, and I wrote this old rot of mine instead, my fingers cold as stone. The keyboard, still, is nice to see, and the screen casts a friendly smile, as if both try to comfort me as if I were a sulking child.
