Tonight's Poet Corner: Introspection

I made it through my first week of teaching at my new school site! Interesting to work with both seniors and freshmen. Got some fun and great students - we'll see what happens when we get down to true business. Next Tuesday will be awesome - my novel is officially released then! I'll have links when they are ready and appropriate. Anyway, I'm tired. Sleep beckons. Tomorrow, I'm going to be a pro at doing absolutely nothing significant. Have a great night and a great weekend, everyone!

Friday's Ten Word Tales: Orientation

Orientation by Belinda Roddie The first week was pretty successful. Now for the plunge.

Today's OneWord: Underway

"Did you hear about the riots?" "What? 'Riots?'" "Yeah, man. Where they break windows and stuff." I shook my head. "No riots that I've seen," I remarked. "I know a large protest is underway in the next city over, but I don't think it's turned violent." "You're dumb, bro. Protests always turn violent." I sighed at my brother. "And you always turn into a moron when you open your mouth. But maybe that's permanent now."
