Tonight's Poet Corner: Sonnet Solstice #286

I Swear by Belinda Roddie I swear I wasn't lying to you then, and I am sure as Hell not lying now, so please don't let your poor, corrupted kin try to dismantle what we built somehow. I kiss you, and the touch rejuvenates our connection. You hold my frigid hand, and heat returns to me. Our prior states of existence were weak and could not stand the test of time: Our immortality is not to be rejected or denied, and though your family holds jealousy in their hearts, even if they truly tried, they could not break us from our marriage fair. This is the truth I say to you: I swear.

Today's OneWord: Misled

I opened up my world to you, but you simply misled me. I thought you wanted to be part of my story, but you already misread me. If you think this is going to work, you're sadly mistaken. I have no time for another episode of frivolous heart breaking.
