Tonight's Poet Corner: Introspection

Well. This week, I have been quite discombobulated. Blame it on the return to my work schedule after having a blast in Philadelphia with my sister and her boyfriend. Blame it on the fact that the scores for my PACT have been delayed for over a week now. Blame it on the fact that I had to quickly renew my CPR training, I struggled through some of my lessons. Blame it on the political environment. The actual environment (warm beginning of the week versus rainy end of the week). Heck, maybe just blame it on the fact that disorientation is a thing. Once again, it's setting in just how much I have done and how much I have left to do. I just wish things could get wrapped up simply and topped with a nice metaphorical bow, as it were. For now, it's all about getting back into the rhythm. Hence, another short introspection as I concentrate on sleeping and getting some work done and wedding planning taken care of over the weekend. Have a great night and a great weekend, everyone.

Friday's Ten Word Tales: I'll Take 'Em!

I'll Take 'Em! by Belinda Roddie The genie was drunk. He granted the woman "three bitches."

Today's OneWord: Coexist

I felt like we could coexist in the house together, even after the divorce. After all, Graham was my best friend, and he was sometimes the only person I could talk to after a particularly rough day. It was just that we didn’t love each other any more than in a platonic way. When we cuddled, it never got any further than simply sharing body heat. When we exchanged kisses, they were pleasantries – light touches on the cheek.
