Tonight's Poet Corner: Introspection

So this week was about as rough as the last one. The good news is, my fiancée is back, and she certainly helps me out mood-wise. I don't really want to write about what's been bothering me. It's not all politics - some of it is more personal or related to my work. Just know that I'm okay and that I'll be trying to make next week be more about moving forward rather than about hesitating or getting fixated on one thing. I will be able to find more enjoyment out of my days. I just have to focus on the good over the bad. There are wonderful people in my country and this world at large. I have to remember that. Have a great night and a great weekend, everyone.

Friday's Ten Word Tales: You're That Bad

You're That Bad by Belinda Roddie I never wished death on anyone. Until I met you.

Today's OneWord: Purify

Betsy wouldn't drink any water from the glasses I provided her unless I could prove, and I quote, that it had been "purified." I told her that I had a filter in the pitcher I poured the stuff from, but she claimed they didn't work. Finally fed up, I proceeded to offer her a sip of red wine instead. That seemed to finally settle her, as she quietly enjoyed her Merlot with a smile.
