Tonight's Poet Corner: Introspection

Well...I'm done. Done with my now former job. Done with that high school. Moving on. Moving forward. Trying to forgive myself for my mistakes - but also trying to forgive myself for apologizing too much. I'm done with doing favors that aren't acknowledged or recognized. From what I can tell, I am moving to a school that has a supportive faculty and admin. A school with a better culture and respect for each other. I've been listening to Genesis, both Gabriel and Collins eras. I've been spending more time away from a computer screen. I've been trying to see more. Do more. Plan more for myself. I want to write more this summer. Create music. Perform. Improve my Spanish. Get to know my new colleagues. Have a kickass 30th birthday party. I am done with the small town nonsense, even though I'm still living there. I'm done with seeing students lose good teachers. I'm done with the pressures. I'm done with the bubble. The bubble has burst.
