Tonight's Poet Corner: An Imperfect Galaxy

An Imperfect Galaxy by Belinda Roddie Her birthmark is a ship sailing across an uncharted sea, where the freckles rise like rocks, and  sirens perch upon their brown arches, humming their hypnotizing hymnals. Each groove and bump and inconsistency on her skin is a new island to colonize, a new small continent to discover. A mountain range to climb, a valley to set camp in. To burn like fireflies against the night sky. Stars settle onto our complexions until our faces are dotted with constellations, forming miniature worlds for ghosts to explore.
