Tonight's Poet Corner: Sonnet Solstice #402

'Twas At The Whisky by Belinda Roddie 'Twas at the Whisky where I sang to you for the first time, eight years ago, and I remember every syllable I cooed to you while I lingered on sweet, blue eyes, as you stood on the second story of the Whisky a Go Go, where so many bands and singers had synchronized their love of music to their audiences. We felt heat in our faces as I pointed a finger at you as the love song ceased to exist, and though my cheeks were bright red, was heart was full. I knew that you were pleased by my display. 'Twas at the Whisky when I knew I loved you, yes, right there and then.
