Tonight's Poet Corner: My Francisco

My Francisco by Belinda Roddie In the city, you don't think twice about just how nice it is to eat fried rice with a view of a sixties-themed cafƩ, but may I just say, this is a splendid way to end the day with your toes halfway submerged in the bay.

Today's OneWord: Drops

ā€œHoney?ā€ ā€œYes, dear?ā€ ā€œHave you seen my eye drops?ā€ ā€œNo, dear. I havenā€™t seen them at all today.ā€ ā€œI kind of need them.ā€ ā€œEyes dry again?ā€ ā€œNo, thereā€™s a spider on my bed, and Iā€™m going to see if I can use the drops to kill it in some way. Like, poison it or something.ā€ ā€œThat sounds a bit strange, dear.ā€ ā€œYouā€™re right, honey. Because Iā€™m not using it for that. Yes, my eyes are dry. What gave it away?"
