Tonight's Poet Corner: Sonnet Solstice #263

The Animator by Belinda Roddie The animator made a film about sky pirates on a grand adventure to find Pegasus, fight foes among the clouds, and draw gold from the sun. Their ship was blue to match the sky, the captain tall and beautiful. She never wooed a man, but instead, made the women swoon, and all her crew were awed when she had sword in hand and scaled the masts of their nemesis's great and daunting destroyer of other fleets that had once sailed the cosmos. And yet hate could not survive the battle, and the meats of victory went to the good guys. Yes, this movie was the animator's best.

Of course I was going to let him have it."
