Tonight's Poet Corner: A Petty Thief's Christmas

A Petty Thief's Christmas by Belinda Roddie I stole a giant's sock and now I use it as a stocking. I've stuffed it full of candy canes that I lifted from the store. My tree I plain uprooted from the governor's backyard. Now I decorate it with dragon scales - the reptilian bastard was asleep. I wrapped presents with paper I scrounged from a lady's gifting stand. All the puddings and hams in the fridge are from an ogre's pantry. I will gorge myself on sweets that I didn't have to pay a penny for, and later, I'll snag Santa's sleigh and take it for a much deserved joyride.
