The Little Lion by Belinda Roddie After we watched the documentary, The Lion in Your Living Room, we watched our own little lion sleep on his prince's tower, his ginger belly rising and falling like the swelling cavity of a drum. He was purring as he dreamed, most likely attempting to solicit a treat or attention from some subconscious subject in his throne room. I'd feed him all the protein in the world the next morning, but for now, I, too, needed rest, to get my strength and courage back. And my wife, poor thing, dealt with both of us snoring once the time grew close to midnight.
