Tonight's Poet Corner: To Do List

To Do List by Belinda Roddie Today, I shall dust my shoes with dirt, dry my eyes with fire, and eat lunch while tiptoeing on top of a skyscraper. I shall write while walking, walk while talking, and grow pink roses right smack in the middle of dying December. There will be meatloaf for breakfast, muffins for lunch, and tiny cheese cubes all the way until dinner (which will be cake, of course). Then s'more making over the stove right after I refuse to go to sleep. Tomorrow will be just the same.

Today's OneWord: Champagne

Champagne two days after New Year's Eve? Gladly! Pour it pink. Pour it pink and pour it blue. But of course you can have blue champagne, darling, anything's possible with food coloring. The food is simply to die for tonight in the city. Shrimp in lime juice and garlic sauce - oh, my. Oh, let's not discuss politics or charities, dear. Let us bask in our own delights before I cry myself to sleep after eating a mint.
