Saturday's Storyteller: Herbert Trevor

by Belinda Roddie Herbert Trevor had the best smile. Sure, he was bucktoothed, but his open-faced grin was contagious, and everyone felt good after seeing him beam downtown, strolling with spirit in his step and a tune in his head. He wound up with a girl named Trixie, who loved his goofy smile and his lazy eyes, adoring how they drifted off toward a fantasy world that she couldn't even begin to imagine existed. Herbert Trevor was always happy. He was always pleased, and he was always content. And all he needed was Trixie's smile to rival his own. And all he needed was Trixie's smile to rival his own. And all he needed was Trixie's smile to rival his own. This week's prompt was inspired by a conversation betweenn Arden Roddie and me.
