Tonight's Poet Corner: Introspection

I'm exhausted, but let me explain why. And no, I'm not going to go over the absolute clusterfuck that was this week politically, with Russia and borderline treason and pseudo-presidential craziness. As far as I'm concerned, the orange man can jump off a cliff and take his Kremlin buddy with him. There. Got that out of my system. Moving on. This week was the second yearbook camp I attended. I had five students attend (and four stick around the whole time). We came up with a brand new theme for next year's book, got a cover designed, and practiced doing some spreads. Two of my students won an award for best theme copy, and I personally think we did some incredible work. I mentioned before how being a yearbook adviser is sometimes really tough for me. It wasn't something I ever planned on being, and the time I have to spend to work on a yearbook really eats into my ability to do the things I really love, like write and act and create music.
