Tonight's Poet Corner: Making Plans

Making Plans

When you run away,
will you take me with you?
Will your pack your suitcase
with me, and we'll drive off
in your beaten down coupe?

If it's not too much to ask,
can we find a little house
on a waterfront leading to
an eighth sea? And when
the sea levels rise exponentially,

can we resort to a little boat
with the sails aimed west
so we can circumnavigate
the world and pretend we're
discovering something new?
