Tonight's Poet Corner: Sonnet Solstice #404

The Error
by Belinda Roddie

The error was destroying all the tech:
The PCs, Macs, laptops, and desktops, too.
And each man that we thought we had on deck
fled from their desks while causing much ado
around the office. I myself was shocked:
I'd never seen such a dark void before,
as if a bridge has fallen and now blocked
all light, or, to use better metaphor,
shattered the window of a website. Why,
even the damn homepage could not be found!
And Google recoiled, withered, and died,
succumbing to the error, that damn hound.
It caused such chaos and such cyber gore,
defeating us, the endless 404.
