Tonight's Poet Corner: Asked A Question

Asked A Question
by Belinda Roddie

This conversation
with a stranger on a train
relies on strategy to unearth

doesn't trust the wife, and
the polygraph tests are rife -
expensive, too, and all
I can do is wonder, "Why
aren't you running away?"
