Tonight's Poet Corner: Crystalline Couple

Crystalline Couple
by Belinda Roddie

the woman with geode fingers
couldn't touch her lover,
but she could still kiss

her, with lips as soft as
saltwater taffy, and with breath
sweeter than simple syrup.

and her lover still held hands
with her, so when they walked
beneath either sun or moonlight,
digits glittered against rough skin.
