Tonight's Poet Corner: Aesthetic

Aesthetic
by Belinda Roddie

She only wore an earring in her left ear -
a pearl, usually, or a sterling silver crossbones -
and she requested tattoos solely
on her right side - ravens from Morrigan
to follow her on rainbow crosswalks.
That way, she sparkled in the eastern sunrise,
and once dusk fell in the west, she radiated
shadow dances cast under fireflies
and Mother Nature's street lamps.
