Tonight's Poet Corner: Tiara Of Thorns

Tiara Of Thorns
by Belinda Roddie

Do you dream of dragons?
Do you prefer the taste of war
in your morning tea?
Has your father's sword
replaced your broken arm
once and for all?

Brick castles
hold men
who melt golden spires
for their teeth.

Lovely lady, where is your knight?
At the market, sir, fetching me
a new circlet.
She says
I'll look like a princess
instead of a tyrant.
