Tonight's Poet Corner: Sonnet Solstice #501

Image
Lost In A Zone by Belinda Roddie Lost in a zone of truth, I can only speak both my conscience and subconscious whims, worries, and awkward flights of dumb fancy. You once saw me as clean, well kept, and prim and proper, but now, all my demons rise to sing their chorus of debauchery and spill my dirty secrets. My demise will not be by death, but by honesty. Yes, I'm in love with you, sweet cleric. I despise you, warlock, and your patron, too. I never knew my father, and I try to forget the abuse, every strike and bruise I received from my training. Well, you can stop now, bard - that's quite enough Hell.

Tonight's Poet Corner: Life Is Short...And Full Of Shortages

Image
Life Is Short...And Full Of Shortages by Belinda Roddie No, you cannot drink any boba tea, and you cannot buy a brand new car. You can't get brand new rubber for that brand new car, either. Want furniture? So does everyone else, so hold off on that new couch or shelf. Stick to your old bicycle because new bikes and parts are getting sparse. And be careful buying resin, too, for your molds and jewels and math rocks. Want a GPU? There's trouble there, too, so enjoy the graphics that you have. But you can find a job in Missoula if you can survive, well, actually living in Missoula.

Now That's Cheesy by Belinda Roddie If I weren't already married and you wanted to woo me, I would suggest that you please gift me a wheel of cheese. Twelve kilograms will do: Can be cheddar or Brie, or maybe Parmegiano-Reggiano, though Gouda's "good-a" with me.

Tonight's Poet Corner: ACAB

ACAB by Belinda Roddie White privilege is being able to hang an air freshener in my car without getting straight up murdered by police. Rest in Power, Daunte Wright.
