Today's OneWord: Square

You won, fair and square. You beat me 'til my muscles ached. You scraped my pride across the wall. It hurt to walk or smile. It hurt to look at where my mother sat, the smile fading from her lips, as she soon realized that I wasn't quite fit for these athletics.

The referee clung to your wrist and raised your fist into the air. The cheers and roars were deafening. I cleaned my face on a white towel.
