Tonight's Poet Corner: Introspection

I was all ready to bring on an "insightful" blog entry tonight, but...no.

Weird week + health issues + choir rehearsals ÷ girlfriend withdrawal = No energy. Yes, I have been reunited with my former choir as an alum. I will be performing next weekend and it's great. I just wish I had the energy to talk about it here.

However, I don't even want to make the effort to get a writer's quotation. Especially since I'm working tomorrow. On a Saturday. Blech.

But hey, have a great night and a great weekend, and I hope next week, I have a lot more to say. Cheers.

Today's OneWord: Statues

Why were the statues going white, and why was the rain cascading in sheets? I tried to find solace by the window, but the world outside had become nothing but glass. Blankets of water blurred the semblance of life that I stretched my mind to detect. Near me, my lover was asleep on the divan with wine pooling across her lap. Her curls lay in wet swaths around the warm nape of her neck. The statues would crumble in due time. The deluge was impending. We both would drown.
