Saturday's Storyteller: NaNoWriMo Update #2

Second update ahoy!

As of November 15th, I have:

- Written 28,500 words. This puts me past the halfway point for the 50,000 word goal.
- Still not come up with a title. But hey, that happened last time I won NaNoWriMo, too.
- Started to mentally outline the rest of the story and character motives. This novel will definitely go beyond the 50,000 word for NaNoWriMo. I will definitely fill you all in on the progress even after November 30th.

Today's OneWord: Statues

Why were the statues going white, and why was the rain cascading in sheets? I tried to find solace by the window, but the world outside had become nothing but glass. Blankets of water blurred the semblance of life that I stretched my mind to detect. Near me, my lover was asleep on the divan with wine pooling across her lap. Her curls lay in wet swaths around the warm nape of her neck. The statues would crumble in due time. The deluge was impending. We both would drown.
