Tonight's Poet Corner: Introspection

All right! First week of my summer break is over and done with. What did I end up doing?

Well, I:

- Went to the gym three times.
- Napped for the first time in probably years.
- Ate more bell peppers with hummus and dip than I think I've eaten since 2014.
- Watched a lot of Youtube videos.
- Played with my cat.
- Dealt with an obnoxious heat wave.
- Got to see family and take a dip in my cousins' swimming pool.
- Bought some stuff from some friends who are moving to the east coast.
- Got Hawaiian food at the Farmer's Market.
- Spent too much money on food.
- Got another haircut (number 2 haircut, babeh).

So, yeah! I think this was a nice first week.

I'll be having brunch with my brother and dad on Sunday (Happy Father's Day to the best dad ever), and then next week is my birthday week! Yes, next time I write an introspection, I will be thirty years old. Don't have much to say about it now, but I'm sure I'll prepare to write a lengthy dissertation about being thirty, only to be too tired after partying and cop out on writing anything substantial or "deep."

I do have a lot of plans this summer, and it's just a matter of organization and following through. I want to be productive, but I also want to rest. So:

I want to finally self-publish my novel, [Insert Self-Discovery Here.]
I want to go back to creating music.
I want to finish up at least one more episode of Season 2 of my miniseries, Goza.
I want to help my wife put together and market her art and portfolio.
I want to do more acting in some way.
I want to collab with my bay area friends.
I definitely need to work on my senior and sophomore English curriculum.

Yep...that's a lot. Wish me luck!

Have a great night and a great weekend, everyone.
