Tonight's Poet Corner: Catastrophic Cardboard

Catastrophic Cardboard
by Belinda Roddie

you can tape me, stitch me,
staple me together, try to fix me,
but you'll always see
where I burst at the seams,
screamed through broken teeth,
and languished in smithereens.

and yes,
I'm still very, very, very,
extremely, preposteriously
inexplicably and unavoidably
fragile as fuck.
