Tonight's Poet Corner: Sonnet Solstice #476

I Shall Never
by Belinda Roddie

I shall never apologize enough
for all the ways I accident'ly hurt
people around me. I can't shut my mouth
when I'm supposed to, nor can I assert
a proper form of communication
if someone seemingly "wrongs me." Alas,
I am inept still, at this age (a sin),
at socialization and social "class,"
as well as social cues. Am I just cursed
to constantly spiral into a pit
where it is verified that I'm the worst
and wallow in my own tears, snot, and spit?
Some rather gross imag'ry, I admit;
sorry about that. I remain a tit.
