Tonight's Poet Corner: Priorities

Priorities

I'd write a better poem, but
my fingers cramp up, knowing

I'd rather use them to weave
my love's hair into a tapestry
fit for the gods on a summer night.

Besides, while the world still
has a chill on his breath, I'll use
my body to keep my beauty warm.
