Tonight's Poet Corner: Introspection

This week was the first week in which I didn't have to go to work in a long time. Last week was my yearbook camp, and the week before that was summer school. And of course, I'm fretting about money and all the fun stuff that comes with being a teacher. I guess I got some personal stuff done in the meantime, though honestly, I didn't do too much. Still, there are some few things on the horizon: 1. I finished Episode 6 of Season 2 of my series, Goza, so I'm more than halfway through the second season now. 2. I'm actually going to be part of a 48 hour film project in mid-August with some old high school friends of mine, in both an acting and cowriting capacity. Friday's Ten Word Tales: Deliciousness Before Death

The Noodles by Belinda Roddie The noodles in the pot are getting cold, the marinara congealing, the starch unappealing as it sits in my bowl. I thought that pasta night would be the start of something delicious, and yet, I have no appetite for this concoction. Now, I'm left with food to waste, and I would laugh if I could feed it to a dog or cow or cat or llama, of which I have none. I'm hungry, but I can't afford to buy anything else, and it wouldn't be fun to beg for my neighbors' extra fruit pie, which sounds amazing, by the way. Alas, this sad mess of carbs will just have to pass.

Tonight's Poet Corner: One Life

One Life by Belinda Roddie If this is all there is, can I at least eat a second slice of pizza and chug chocolate syrup without feeling guilty about it?
