Today's OneWord: Transform

Jeremy wanted to transform the entire place into a summer locale. He was already starting with the house. About two months after he bought the shack, I arrived to visit it and was greeted by a stunning beach house sight. From the Grecian pillars to the marble balconies, the place looked as if it belonged on an island, maybe even in another world.

"She's a beauty, isn't she?" Jeremy said to me as he led me to the door. Even his clothes had become more stylish.

Today's OneWord: Statues

Why were the statues going white, and why was the rain cascading in sheets? I tried to find solace by the window, but the world outside had become nothing but glass. Blankets of water blurred the semblance of life that I stretched my mind to detect. Near me, my lover was asleep on the divan with wine pooling across her lap. Her curls lay in wet swaths around the warm nape of her neck. The statues would crumble in due time. The deluge was impending. We both would drown.
