Tonight's Poet Corner: Crushed Citrus

Crushed Citrus
by Belinda Roddie

The rind
of the lime
is refreshing
all the time

once its innards
have been primed
for squeezing
and draining

A cocktail
for the ages
a "Canadian
on the Beach?"

Nothing ginger ale
can't handle
and rum
and a dead lime
