Tonight's Poet Corner: A Million Kitty Cats

A Million Kitty Cats
by Belinda Roddie

Some are black, white, or sweet tabby -
some long-haired and some flabby.
Some lap cats and some more aloof,
but providing plenty of cute and poof.
Some wear tuxedos and cool spats,
while others look like pancakes - splat.
Some are long boys or shaped like balls.
I just want to adopt them all!

They're striped and spotted and designed
to keep my happiness aligned.
They meow and play and catch my fancy
while my sucker heart goes "dance-y."
Maine coons, calicos galore
to make my mommy side want more.
A million kitty cats I'll raise
until they crowd around my grave!
