Freeform Friday: Famous Last Words

Famous Last Words
by Belinda Roddie

I'm going, but I'm going
in the name of the Lord.
What the devil do you mean
to sing to me? You are out
of tune.

I'm losing it. Let's have a party!
I don't want the doctor's death.
I want to have my own freedom.
Pardonnez-moi, monsieur.

Tomorrow, at sunrise,
I shall no longer be here.
This dying is boring.
A dying man can do
nothing easy.

Bring me a bulletproof vest;
this is no way to live.
One never knows the ending, but
I must go in, for the fog is rising.

Oh, wow. Oh, wow. Oh, wow.
I'm going away tonight.
I feel great. Goodbye, kid.
You're the only one I like.
You are wonderful.
